If you have never cleaned your pets teeth before it might be a little tricky to start, but with a little determination and treats you can accomplish it.
Step 1. Use the toothpaste as a treat or reward. Put a small amount on your finger and introduce it to your pet, hopefully it’s a flavor he/she will like. After several days of daily treating, and your pet has accepted the daily treat, introduce your finger to stimulate the brushing motion of a toothbrush.
Step 2. After seven days, introduce the pet toothbrush; you can use a small amount of the toothpaste at the beginning and end of the cleaning so your pet sees it as a treat. Use small circular motions beginning at the back of your pets teeth and moving forward until you make your way around to the other side. Always try to brush your pets teeth with a happy attitude and positive reinforcement, it will make everything easier and pleasant for both of you.
